Hilary is a General and Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist.  She has experience working in both the public and sectors assessing and managing children and adults with a range of mental health challenges including depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, psychosis, PTSD, complex trauma, autism, ADHD, intellectual disability and eating disorders.

Hilary has a special interest in supporting the mental health needs of neurodiverse and trauma affected children and women.

She attained a Bachelor of Medical Studies/Doctor of Medicine from the University of New South Wales, a Master of Medicine (Psychiatry) from the University of Sydney, and is a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists.  Additionally, she holds an advanced training certificate in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.

Following a thorough assessment and shared formulation (in depth understanding of the reason for attending), a collaborative evidence based management plan will be developed.  Management may include psychotherapy, family therapy, increasing social supports and, where necessary, medication.  She believes a holistic approach is the best path to mental wellbeing.
