Desiree is a Medicare endorsed Clinical Psychologist who has been practicing as a psychologist since 2001.  She is dedicated to providing compassionate and effective psychological therapy to support people's mental health and wellbeing.  She brings warmth and understanding to her practice and is committed to supporting people build more coping resources to live a more fulfilling, meaningful and balanced life.  She has predominately worked in private practice and has delivered psychological therapy under Medicare, Workers Compensation and CTP, as well as organisational employee assistance programs.  She has worked with people from all walks of life and with a wide range of presenting concerns.

Desiree offers psychological therapy to individuals aged 14 years and over, who are experiencing a variety of mental health concerns, including: depression, generalised anxiety, social anxiety, panic attacks, obsessive compulsive disorder, post-traumatic stress disorder, phobias. adjustment issues, bipolar disorder, perinatal anxiety and depression, body dysmorphia, eating disorders and body image concerns, grief and loss, borderline personality disorder, sleep issues and relationship issues.

Desiree has trained in a range of evidence-based therapies, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), and Emotionally Focussed Therapy.  She will conduct a comprehensive initial assessment and tailor therapy to the individual and their presenting concerns.

Desiree is available for both face to face and telehealth consultations.

A standard 50-55 minute therapy consultation is $260.00.

You will be eligible for a Medicare rebate if you have a Mental Health Treatment Plan or a referral from a psychiatrist.  As of 1 July 2024, the current Medicare rebate for a standard psychological consultation with a Clinical Psychologist is $141.85.
